My name is Megan Parker.

I am a professional photographer.

I've lived in the PNW for over 24 years.

I love happy people & happy hours.

My love of photography began when I was just a kid with a disposable camera that never left my side. At age 15 I got my first DSLR for Christmas and since then this has been a passion of mine that has never stopped growing. I was named 'Photographer of the Year' my senior year at South Kitsap High School in 2008.

After I graduated I was in a rough place and didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. Photography helped me express myself and work through that tough time. I worked at numerous places: movie theaters, malls, boring office jobs, and then I landed a great job for an online cosmetics retailer. I eventually worked my way up and became their in-house studio photographer. That was my first taste in getting paid while doing something I loved and I never wanted to loose that experience. While working I attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and in 2017 I graduated with my degree in Fine Art Photography.

In 2018 while the company I worked for the past 8 years of my life was closing down, I decided to get my business license and pursue this passion full-time. With not only the knowledge base from my previous job but also now my degree, I knew this was my chance to do it on my own. I have always wanted to work for myself and work in a creative field, but that was a dream I never thought I was going to obtain, until now. Now I am here today with no regrets and nothing holding my passion back.

My range includes various subjects like real estate, weddings, and still life. Which are all subjects I'm super passionate about capturing. But my real passion is landscape & wildlife photography. I want to create images that inspire people to truly appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds their everyday life. Living in Washington State there is plenty of that, but I feel like most people do not even realize it is there. I believe my purpose is to share these beautiful scenes with the rest of the world to help inspire conservation efforts; big or little. I want to create images that bring the appreciation that Mother Nature deserves.
